Tim’s payloader and generator BS thread

i am familiar with auto cycle although i have never installed one. you have a short hose on each cylinder port tied into the return, is this necessary? i thought both extend and retract would return through the valve.
Honestly it’s been so long since I put all of that together I’d have to go back to my original diagrams.
Ran it for a year and then added the dump valve.
That dude out in California is a solid dude. From Split EZ if I remember right.

Tim, watcha know about a Continemtal TMD 27 motor?

I just bought one as a power unit, hoping to cobble it in place of the trashed H260 Conti in my MH 44 tractor.
Parts are tough to find and expensive when you do. I think they have the same footprint and F162,F163... If you need anything, call Northern Power Products in Eagan, 651-452-5200 ask for "Continental Don". He's forgot more about Wisconsin / Continentals than anyone could possibly learn. He used to own a WisCon distributorship.

CAV pump on it looks similar to my pump on my 236 Perkins, can governor be set down on them?

I dont need 67hp or 3000rpms, 2k would be a nice match for this setup.

Charts show about 50 ponies at 2k, and peak torque at 1800.

Fired up the Z134 in my MF2200 on Saturday. Good little engine.

Suppose so, the old 44 has only been waiting for a transplant for 10 years.

Couple pics from the auction site, likely go get it Friday or Sat.

That's a Stanadyne injection pump which doesn't surprise me. Every TMD I've seen had a Stanadyne pump. the little triangle cover on the side covers the fuel screw, pull the cover and bar the engine over until you can access the screw, turn clockwise for more fuel. The throttle stop screws will allow you to limit rpm. Stanandyne pumps govern well. I've noticed most Perkins gensets will have a Stanadyne injection pump instead of Bosch of Delphi/CAV pump option.

Everything about that splitter looks very nice.
I noticed a weld near the wedge cylinder lift end. Did you add the 2"x2" tubing to help keep the wedge from cocking when adjusting the height?
You’re exactly right. When I first set it up there was no rear tube steel. After the wedge slide wore in a bit it would bind a bit. So I just welded the 2x2 to the deck and gave it a few degree lean opposite of the wedge to keep tension. By the time it gets to the top it flexes tube forward a tad and it returns on the downstroke.
