Good morning thread

I need must ask - how old were you when seeing those numbers and how long did it take you to get there…??
I was 18 when I first hit those numbers. I had been running for a couple of years by then and gradually increased my distance so that I could reach a certain level of tiredness.

Very quickly after that I was running less and less due to work, etc. Probably by 20 I wasn’t running or working out at all for long periods as I was working on the rail line.

I never got into a sport competitively - I just ran and hiked and biked recreationally

I might have been able to do something as far as a sport like running goes but I’ll never know - I met my ex wife at 20 and by then I was already working at Bristol Mountainfor 2 years at 60-70 hours a week year round

Even if I did go in a different direction and get into some sort of sport I certainly wouldn’t have run as good as you did - ten miles in an hour is crazy efficient

I’ll never ever do that - that’s beyond impressive

Like far beyond impressive - I’ll be forever envious of that

You did 3 miles in a row at under 6 minutes per mile non stop….??

You understand that’s literally world class marathon numbers…….

I “might” be able to run a 6 minute mile for a total of 2 minutes - but as far as doing that for a whole mile, it just isn’t physically possible for me; perhaps with a lot of intense training after a couple years I could get to that level, but even then I wouldn’t put money on it…..
My senior year of "high" school, I trained for and finished the Oakland half marathon.
13.1 miles/88 minutes, +- 6:45 miles.

Let the jokes ensue 🎃

Yeah, the dude holding the stop watch and collecting data was at the 3 mile mark. Funny thing is my 1.5 mile times weren't very great. Now I'm a lazy fucker that only avgs 8 miles a day walking or running according to my fitness tracker, but that's also packing around a chainsaw so maybe I could still run a foot race if need be

I think I've ran faster for farther with a pissed off father of a girl I was seeing wielding a shotgun behind me but nobody was timing it
Pivs of the girl?
