The Husqvarna thread

Nobody on this forum will ever be short of bullshit

BUMP

thats odd. the magic stihl 064 two key FW has them close together and gives options on coils. i cant imagine why they are opposite each other. perhaps Aaron will know.

That's a new one for me. Now I need to dig thru my stash of 181-288 parts.

Maaayyybbbbeee the same FW was used on the 181SE and 61/161. IIRC, the 61/161/266 have the coil on the oposite side of the FW compared to the 181-288 (and the 268/272).

One's on the oil tank side while the other is near the fuel cap. I is at werk right now (break time) and can't look things up.

The other key-way is for down under

Sounds legit.

I've not seen that but JJ probably knows

There's the likely source fer the correct answer.

Due to finding a lot of oem parts topends
Carbs, ignitions, mufflers
I ended up buying 3 holzforma g288s
176.00 shipped now one blue 2 orange
I have 2 sold if i want to sell them.
A g372xt for 156.00 shipped i have a complete xt topend and carb with intake.
And a new hyway biug bore kit
Also bought a g395 286.00 shipped
I'll have plenty of projects this winter.

I'm making a 288 lite out of one of the holzforma 288s

These traverse creek top covers are good
Only like 14.00
I have a couple of the plastic mesh flat 266/281/288 filter's on order
I'll remove the long bar mount
No need for it running a 24"

I don't know how many holzforma 660s 288s and 395s my logger cousin ordered
I showed him the flash sale.
He said he's getting a few of each
He's had a clone 660 for 3 years
The hired help runs it and there's never been a problem with it.
he runs his oem 394 and 395s
My friend paid me to order a 372xp and a 288 so his wife doesn't see them i guess.
So i have like 7 saws on the way to my house.

Got in my g395

G288

G288

G372xt
All of them started easy and oil good
No issues other than a ridiculous short pull rope in the 288s for some reason
I'm swapping them out for
Modern 372 handles and 4.5 trueblue rope.

Having some 066 pistons cut for popups to run in the g288s
I put a 066 piston in a oem 288 year's ago using a .080 base gasket it made for a very strong 288
