Knives or axes whatever

@treeslayer2003

For the past several years, I've been buying all my handles at the local logging supply store. The brand they sell is Tennessee Hickory Handles (tennesseehickory.com). I'm happy with them...vertical grain...good kerfs...pretty sexy.

You could also try House Handle Company (househandle.com) or Whiskey River Trading Company (whiskeyrivertrading.com). I haven't bought from either, but I've read mostly good things. I'm planning on ordering from Whiskey River at some point. They're the only place that I've been able to find straight handles for camp/boys axes and hatchets.
i would venture to say, like every thing else woods related, you west side guys have better shit over there. which is dumb since i bet most hickory comes from this side................but no one here needs a handle.........there aint no big trees left here. or so they tell me.

Geez, that sucks. According to the company website, these handles are manufactured in the Tennessee River Valley region. I didn't realize that good handles were hard to find back east. Glad I've been stashing some in MI.

marketing is the craziest concept to my mind. california tomatoes put the canning business out here..........makes no sense since the freight has to be more than the product. but, eye am a dumbass logger, what do i know. same thing with imported lumber while i sell "old growth" yellow pine for pallet lumber.

I got these in kamwero d2 top and
A kubey sicario d2 on bottom
I liked them so much I ordered another of each as gifts
They were both 40.00 each shipped

Great steel really takes and holds an edge.
