Knives or axes whatever

They are making the new marine core combat knives at
The Robert C. Bird institute
A teacher that works with my nephew was allowed to tour the facility there was thousands of finished blades he was able to hold a blank that he said was very light felt much lighter than metal
He's a industrial technology teacher
And couldn't tell the material.
The knives are laser cut and laser sharpened
They gave a cutting display that was very impressive he said.

I was given a Stihl splitting axe for rebuilding a guys saw .It’s well made ,heavy ,works really well , and being from Steal …. I’m sure not inexpensive . It is made by Ochenskopf for them .

For the past several years, I've been buying all my handles at the local logging supply store. The brand they sell is Tennessee Hickory Handles (tennesseehickory.com). I'm happy with them...vertical grain...good kerfs...pretty sexy.

You could also try House Handle Company (househandle.com) or Whiskey River Trading Company (whiskeyrivertrading.com). I haven't bought from either, but I've read mostly good things. I'm planning on ordering from Whiskey River at some point. They're the only place that I've been able to find straight handles for camp/boys axes and hatchets.
