Update on the quest for a 10mm AR.
Moriaty Arms sent me an email apologizing for the mix up. They informed me they had received 10mm uppers and they would be available on their website to order the following day.
I ordered one. It's tracking to arrive Monday.
The lower I ordered 3 1/2 months ago is ready to ship.
Also, I received an email notification from Brownells. They now have 10.5" 10mm barrels in stock. I haven't ordered one. I still have a complete CMMG Banshee on order.

I also remember when midway sent out the email that said they weren’t going to give dealers a discount anymore, that way they could charge everyone the lower price. Weird that when they said lower they actually meant higher.

At least Brownells still has the two tiered pricing with the lower price going to businesses/dealers and LE.....................although (as you alluded to), that lower tier is barely if at all lower than what ya can find the stuff for elsewhere if you're really good at finding deals. Also........there's a good percentage of their wares that are priced at the higher (retail) tier for everybody. Do you still have your FFL?

Yep on the FFL.

It ain’t what it used to be. Their discount is now more MAP vs MSRP. Once they shifted to selling guns and competing with other dealers it went downhill quick.

Normally $150. On sale for $135, which was the dealer price, iirc. Wholesale is less than $80 and that’s buying one at a time through a distributor. I’m sure Brownell’s buys direct from the manufacturer and gets them cheaper than that.

Supply and demand and all, but there was definitely a big change when they started selling complete guns online.

Springfield Micro Compact that I’ve had in the safe for a while. I bought it from the LGS. A guy had it on consignment, in the box was a receipt from a gunsmith that charged the guy $300 for “feeding improvements”. This is the same one I put the beavertail on and got rid of the shitty GI sites. I ran about 25rds through it the other day. With probably 15 failures to go into battery.

Is the barrel hood supposed to have that shiny spot where it hits the slide?

Hopefully I’ll get to put a few rounds through it on Monday and see if it works.
