Gun talk or something beside the stupid title i gave it

I just received my Alien Gear “Roswell” IWB holster for the S&W Shield Plus. I’m a little concerned that the mag release is exposed. I’d hate to have an errant love handle drop my mag. I’ll have to check on this with some household wear.
Sounds odd every different holster I have leather or kydex protects the mag release.
Post a pic

Also, I made a deal on a NIB RIA .45 with a friend that won it at a benefit. Pivs to come this weekend when I pick it up.

Pivs. I didn't get time to shoot it today. The trigger feels decent, not great but better than expected for the gun's price.

If I were to have a complaint so far, the grip checkering is too sharp. These should fix that, and I've got a gift card to burn there. https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/hogue-1911-wood-grips

I'll get a couple extra mags while I'm there. Any brands to grab or run away from?

I've had no issues at all with Wilson combat,Novak's,checkmate
Mecgar,Kimber which they were only 15.00 when I bought them
Chip McCormick is sold by Wilson combat now.

Went chootin this morning, took the sig i sent to factory for the upgrade, i had heard horror stories of how bad the new trigger is. well it’s awesome. no creep, no gritty feeling and it’s sharp and crisp. i likes it. Also took the RIA Mapp out for a spin.

I put this cheap dot on this morning and sight it in i cheated a bit. i rested my arms on the table these two smiths are heavy for 22's. nothing like thee lightweight plastic things of today. First one is at about 8 and second is about 15, first pic and the target on left is sighting it in. you can see the high and left shots. but once it was in it stayed there. again each target is 20 rounds,

I have three pintys, one on a AR9 and a 9mm Canik and that S&W. so far all of them have been excellent, but i don't know if they could handle shotgun recoil. i have firefields on my AR12's and they have been good so far.

Red Dots are good if you have trouble seeing both sights. i can shoot better with a dot myself, but there are good sights other than a dot. fiber optics are really easy to see. Also look at different reticles, i personally like the green dot with green circle. easier to see for me. also is your shotgun equipped to put a dot on.

I hadn’t noticed that you had that in that earlier post, I had just watched a YouTube vid where a guy put one on a 338 Lapua just to see if it would hold up.
It worked flawlessly

If it will handle a 338 it will probably handle a shotgun. look for the size of the dot. the one on that pistol is a 3moa..i think and it's really too small. i like a 6 moa. but at long distance it can cover your target. but with a shotgun it would probably be fine. I got that pinty on that 22 of amazon, it had like a 20% off. came to around 25 dollars. i bought two of them at the time. Pinty will run sales like that every now and then
