20 minutes one way max, i get help with the loading, the yardboy unloads, way behind getting it stacked.
That's should last a while. How much do you usually burn a year?
Dodge sucksI dunno, really, only kept track one year.
several years ago I cut 24-25 greedy heepin' truck loads, fetched 4 or 5 of 'em to The Hippy Bob over the winter and had a couple cord left over.
I was cutting a lot of red/white oak and some hickory that winter
It takes 3 greedy heepin' Hoosier humdinger loads to make a solid cord in my shed (one row in the shed is just over cord) 16' long by 7' tall and I use 1.5 for an average length of my cuts..
a safe bet is 7 cord a winter
2 km to my wood lot, drive the little truck right from home mostly off roadI have 6-7 cords of dry fir on hand.
I have it guesstemated I wood burn 4-5 cord if we had a cold winter and I was there full time.
My wood shed hold 4.5 cords.
I have near a cord of unsplit.
May go get more, its easy getting, bout 2 hour trip.
Quick close the hood the wind might blow out the flames...
I'm sitting on a lot of oak. $400 is about right factoring fuel. I'm not even taking calls right now. Come n get some RandyHardwood is too expensive here, not paying $400 a cord for it, the DF and cedar I've been getting run about $60 a cord, the pine is free.
Last year I burned the better part of five cords, I have close to ten cords on hand, I'm supplying Harriet's firewood as well.
I'm likely to haul another load of DF/cedar this weekend and maybe some more crappy pine next week.

I seen a guy posting on a woodsplitter page that he could buy dry wood for 65 a pickup load split and delivered. He was asking which splitter to buy. I wouldn't even buy a gas can if I could buy wood that cheapFirewood is as cheap as I've seen it around here. Thinking of buying a load or 2 myself. Dont think I can actually cut it for much less. $65 per cord for oak 100" logs. Be closer to $100 by the time its delivered.
I started filling the basement for the winter today, hope to have 4 cords or so downstairs by next weekend. Lots of empty space down there.
