Little 2 stroke oil on the tank and line is your friend.

i have an OEM japan zama on an early 044. never rebuilt it, never have touched it, runs its ass off.They was a Japanese carb company that made a good copy of a Walbro SDC. Then Stihl bought Zama and moved manufacturing to China.
So..........................no for a number of years (Some late 10-series Macs and SXL-AO Homelites had OEM Zama carbs, and those worked fine).......................and now yes.
