Wasn't Rockwell big in wood lathes also?
That’s what I was thinking also. Similar to a Shop Smith. A Swiss Army knife of wood toolsI remember years ago there was a couple different lathe drill combination machines. they would do a several things. i sure think one was the rockwell wood hog. but there is no evidence anywhere to back that up. i even searched multi lathes and nothing.
T1,
Is that the same Rockwell of Delta Rockwell. I got a 10" Delta 1hp bench grinder I bought at Northern tool bout 35 years ago. Cant find any info on it now.
I will check when I'm back in the shop. I recall the 8" model seemed more popular. I think it was 1988 and I paid $150 for it new from Northern Hydraulics(now called Northern Tool).I believe so. There’s quite a history of Rockwell mergers/name changes/divisions. They quit producing power tools under the Rockwell name in the early 80’s. Somebody bought the rights to the name in the 90’s, I think. They’re producing tools, but there’s no connection to the original, other than the name.
Got a model number for the grinder?
here is the 8" model
