Fly fishermen will quite often use a thermometer like that. They hang it by a lanyard through the hole in the cap.This thermo was in with a bunch of yard sale stuff.

What's the average temperature of dss bunghole?We used a thermo just like that to measure the temp of developer in the dark room. it needs to be a certain temp to work right. i have that in my toolbox outside. It could be used for a variety of things as it is submersible.

Nope, they turned that place into a copier center, none of the stuff we taught was there anymore. small presses are replaced by copiers which are faster and do just as well. I had two huge copiers that would print both sides of a page and collate it and stitch it into a book in one operation. also would fold it if you printed on 11x17. The dark room shut down and developing film was a thing of the past.But it wasn't when you left?
