Boss might be interestedI was unable to find information online regarding what engine was used prior to current production. Looking at the listing pictures I can tell it is 2004 and prior manufacture date and there are 2 liter and 2.2 liter versions of this engine. The 2.2 liter version is very common. The 2 liter version is kinda hard to find. I believe this is the 2 liter version. The engines look identical and share many common parts. What leads me to believe it is the 2 liter is this picture. The #4 injection line has been replaced and it looks a little too long. The common 2.2 liter's engine block is about 1" taller than the hard to find 2 liter's engine block. The different block height means different length injection lines. I think the # 4 injection line that was installed was from the 2.2 liter version.
I'm gonna pull the engine and sell it if it's an easy fix. If not, I'll part the engine out.
I think I will re-power the water pump with a new 3 cylinder engine I have squirrelled away. I haven't been able to sell it and it is the same engine model that the pump manufacturer is using in current production. I hope that would add value when I sell it. I have no use for this thing.

iv seen that happen on an almost new loader tire. they dont seem to be able to stand much damage to the side wall.One of the 2 older tires on the wheel loader blew out. My daughter was pulling out of the shop and the car hoist arm punctured the sidewall. I watched it happen and didn't think the hoist would puncture the sidewall. I thought maybe break bead. I'm wondering if the tire wasn't already farked up. Here is a pic of the sidewall of it's twin. It looks like it had been driven flat and cut up the cords in the sidewall. Notice how the sidewall is wavy? Any thoughts or advice? I'm thinking of replacing both instead of just the one that blew out. @DSS ?

It looks like a remold, not a cap, a remold has a new cap and they skin the sidewall too. Every one I've seen blew out the sidewall before the tread was 50% gone. thats interesting, i didnt know they did that. i had an almost new 14-24 do it. not all at once, it got scraped on some thing half way the side wall and that developed into a crack. eventually the tube started coming out and i just changed it out. i found 4 mil surplus 41-24s on clark wheels at a scrap yard, i bought them at 400 bucks. seems like good old tires are tougher. that one that got damaged never would stand up to a load even with 50psi in it. the raggedy tire on the other side stood up with any load with only 30psi. same ply rating.It looks like a remold, not a cap, a remold has a new cap and they skin the sidewall too. A brand new Michelin in 4 years the casing is rotten, guaranteed, Chinese stuff has better casings, truck tires are even worse I think. They are Mitas 335/80R20. I suspect original since new. The 2 that are like new are Michelin 375/75R20 XZSL. I have been looking for 2 more but they seem to be discontinued.What size are they Tim? Like 17.5 x 24 or 14.00 x 24?
