Tim’s payloader and generator BS thread

Dont know dik aboot chippers Tim. Are the anvils driven hydro or off a pto of sorts?
This is a disc chipper. There are drum chippers too. The disc or drum is belt driven. There is a hand clutch on the back of the engine to engage and dis-engage the drive. The feed rollers are driven hydraulically. The hydraulic pump is driven by the engines timing gears. They're pretty simple machines.
The disc or drum has blades mounted to it. There is an anvil that needs to be adjusted to match the blade height.

Trying to get the werk lites werkin. The front and rear werk lite switches send a 12 volt signal to this controller. The controller then powers up the work lights. The controller is receiving the signal but isn't sending out power. I check power and grounds. they seem ok. The controller is werking for other functions. I by-passed the controller and wired the 12 volt signal to power the lights. The signal wire is 16 to 18 gauge and the circuit is powered by a 10amp fuse. I think I will be ok because I have replaced the incandescents with LED. I checked current draw. It's 1 amp draw per light.

Been werkin on the chipper too.
THe auto feed display was showing a no signal error. I took a looky at the sensor and it looked to be out of alignment with the reluctor wheel. It came with an extra sensor in the storage box so I plugged it in and held it next the the reluctor ring. The display error went away and it started displaying rpm. Easy fix. Just milled a little away to get better alignment.Resized_20211222_114238.jpeg

Bought this today. It was listed as "non-operational". Cannot find any information online about what engine it is.
I'm hoping it is an easy fix. If not, I may part out the engine. It is a hard to find engine.

I was unable to find information online regarding what engine was used prior to current production. Looking at the listing pictures I can tell it is 2004 and prior manufacture date and there are 2 liter and 2.2 liter versions of this engine. The 2.2 liter version is very common. The 2 liter version is kinda hard to find. I believe this is the 2 liter version. The engines look identical and share many common parts. What leads me to believe it is the 2 liter is this picture. The #4 injection line has been replaced and it looks a little too long. The common 2.2 liter's engine block is about 1" taller than the hard to find 2 liter's engine block. The different block height means different length injection lines. I think the # 4 injection line that was installed was from the 2.2 liter version.

I'm gonna pull the engine and sell it if it's an easy fix. If not, I'll part the engine out.
I think I will re-power the water pump with a new 3 cylinder engine I have squirrelled away. I haven't been able to sell it and it is the same engine model that the pump manufacturer is using in current production. I hope that would add value when I sell it. I have no use for this thing.

Hard to find? It’s right there, in the middle. What do I win?

Just the mere mention of pig jizz and pump may send hims over the edge RB.

Over the past 2 months I’ve spent more on pig jizz than I did on my first car 23 years ago.

And this summer I saw that car for sale, or at least it’s twin and it sold for 22k....... I knew when I sold that car that I would regret it, and I’ve regretted it often.

Kinda like the regret fullness of the girls T1 dated
