Probably,,, 25 miles to saw store
As far as I know, there isn't a decent saw shop within at least 70 miles from here (and that's IF there's any good shops in Billings). Three or four places sell Stihl here (and two or three sell Husky), but they're all Tractor Supply type semi-box farm stores or rental places.

I may have a clutch cover, I'll check later.I scored a runned down, clapped out 290 from the local Stihl shop.
Jason owns the place, he's a good guy, told him about the rotten hickory that mashed my 290 a couple winters back, he give it to me no charge.
It's missing the air filter cover, which I don't need and the clutch cover, which I do need, the rest of it is all there.
Haven't checked it for spark but the rear handle assembly is in good shape and I needed one.
Gots me an 015L here on the bench . Runs rich even with the H andL needles seated . The carb was previously worked on by someone . Thinking that maybe they put in the wrong metering circuit disc ,or installed it wrong . Can’t come up with anything else that would cause it . Any ideas ? TIA .
I’ll check the metering lever , etc .... and yes ,I can do a pop off test . Thanks Aaron !Metering lever height is wrong, needle is leaking, or metering chamber gasket and diaphragm are installed in the wrong order. Can you do a pressure pop off test of the carb?
