Read you user title, I call the same.
These suburban's won't get 15-16 average downhill pushed by a snowplow.

Steve, you need to make you a road trip down this way for a new bed. 99.99% in Texas through Georgia are rust free.

Mines a pickup, but I don't think that should be that much difference. Extended cab, 4L60, 3.23 gears, it ain't even working yet at 75. The lie o meter is pretty close actually, been off by about 1/2 mpg at most whenever I check it. It drops some in winter cause I like getting in a warm truck. Not sure when I reset it last.

12 or so pulling a 22' trailer with 2 side by sides on it, best was just over 20 going on a road trip empty.

I'm real tempted to. 50k plus for a new rig makes me wanna put money into this one. It's a year away from old enough for collector plates, and it's the best truck I've owned by a long shot.
I bet his frame is shot too.
Frame ain't bad, could use blasting and painting from about the rear axle back, otherwise it's still got most of the factory coating on it.

All new ss brake and fuel lines in the last 2 years.

lol

I’ve seen frames rotted completely through in 5 years up here

That’s not too common but it’s been known to happen - any pickup over a decade old has potential for the frame to be rotted through - guys will use drywall mud and gloss black paint to cover the shit up to look good for photos - and I’m absolutely not joking

Gotta be weary about anything over 10 years old up in these here parts….

Striping a GM 94 crew cab and going to make a trailer out of it
Still had real frames back then, got to be 1/4" thick channel.
Truck frames should not rust out.
Trucks aren't built anymore, they call them trucks but they are just big cars with an open trunk

burbs have at least 400-500 lbs over and extended cab pickup considering more doors and glass, this one doesnt have that high of rear ratio either.
