I've used a turkey fryer to warm it. Then a hudson sprayer to apply. I have an old 20lb propane tank that I set up for next time. It has a electric block heater, thermometer mounted into it.
Every spring we used to dump all our used motor oil that we saved up throughout the year and filled up the loader bucket that we had holes drilled in. We’d drive up and down the driveway.
Never had a dust problem.

We had a place on a lake, the city would spray the road at least twice a year. As a kid i would play in the rainbow puddles.
Spray with used oil and find a dusty dirt road. But now they spray them with calcium cloride i think. Same as sweeping compoud.

3-4 year old cars and trucks are already showing surface rust on the frame and bubbled paint. Lots of 07 and newer stuff is rusted way worse than Steve’s. Shit is rough.
Oil field is or was big business around here, they have always put bs on the lease roads and it makes a good road. Treating gravel roads with rust producing stuff seems crazy to me. Gravel roads are dusty, I'd rather wash a rust free 20 yr old car than have a 3 yr old rusty one

I bought a 2000 F550 Super Duty 4x4 with a 7.3 and dump box. Body is shot. I may put a extended cab on it buy probaly pull the cab and 7.3 to sell,then toss a cummings in it and a vintage cab.The frame is long enough for a crewcab without moving the box.
Easier to find a flatbed than a rust free box. Mines beyond shot. Wheel wells and couple holes rusted through the box ect.
There's a couple of guys making a living just hauling southern truck parts up north here. Body parts, gas tanks, anything that rusts.

At this point anything older than 2017/18 is rusted pretty bad - not so much body panels showing major signs of it but brakes and brake lines and oil pans and other hardware is a fuckin mess after 3-4 winters around here
