Old Fuckers.........Get yer wrinkled ass over to RandyMac's Bar so's we know you ain't dead, abducted by aliens, or stuck in a home.....thread.

Thank you gentlemen. And the hits keep coming. At 8:29 pm mtn time, the same friend that notified me of the death of our friend last night (technically early this morning).............................notified me of the death of ANOTHER friend from work. He passed away today as well. Don't know the details yet. Just that seizures were involved.

He was a younger man, about 10 years younger than me, with 8-10 or years of service under his belt. Also a great guy. Very funny. I will miss them both very much. I'm numb. Yet another reason that 2020 fucking SUCKS......

Just found out that one of my good friends from the old job had a heart attack and died while on duty last night (mids shift). DAMMIT. He was old enough to retire too. Was trying to up his years in service so his retirement $$$ would be greater. Didn't make it. Godspeed brother......

Can't like either of those. Lost too many friends myself the last 2 years or so. One of the "privileges" of getting older I guess.

More often than not, lots of people seem to die a year either side of retirement. Most that retire and die soon after seem to be on the retire and grow a couch on their ass plan. Gotta keep busy to last I guess.

My plan is to retire as absolute soon as I can, and find a part time job I enjoy doing.

I tell peoples to go/retire when you can,, you cant buy time back.
I notice people who become their job dont seem to live long past retirement.
Ya gotta keep busy. We get one stab @ life.
Mt partner @ work dropped @ 48,, was a eye opener.
And like was said seen a lot pass away shortly after retirement,,, I think a lot form lack of a hobby etc.
This place keeps me going,,, you reprobates!!!

With these two latest deaths, that makes over 30 folks from work that I've known that have died before retirement or within 3 years after retiring. Many of them friends. Many died chasing the brass ring (meaning they were working "just a bit longer" after they were eligible to retire to up their retirement checks by a few $$$).
