Not So Pros v3.0

Cost of them funny tastin' white mints have gone through the roof!

You know, them ones used in swimming pools, the ones that keep the pool water clean.

So's it's 2 copper plated ground rods I have insulated from one another and mounted to a block of foam so's they will float.
Attached a solar charger and stuffed some water softener salt in the little deal that floats around in the water.
The result should be 'salt chlorine" through "electrolysis"

Of course there will be copious amounts of chemical warfare to get things started, butt hoping the "electrolysis" will reduce the use of chemicals in the big vinyl pond in the yard.

Pro tip: pool store chlorine is around 11%. Clorox is about 8.25%. They are the same active ingredient, so buy whichever is cheaper.

Additional pro tip: if you don’t already have a skimmer, get one.

What type of pool do you have?

Grind them it's easier...
Trick i learned when the X left her Amope Pedi Perfect laying around...
Told her i used it on my toe nails,it was mine after she freaked out.
Not like it was a tooth brush, she used it on her feet.Toenails are part of feets...
The worksharp knife sharpener is great for toenails and fingernails
And you can swap belts to
Really rampage on them.

speaking of. since dads gone i guess i will finish the 84 long bed i started for him and drive it. so poll on what i should do with the 86 short bed..........leave it alone for a spare, give it to one of the boys.............build a 440 and get in trouble terrorizing modern "muscle"?

Go for the last one.

Keith Black...

Yeth

good shit, but like i said, shit i don't already have. i do have a 375hp 70 440, just needs a freshen up, low miles.

Freshen up that 440 and run 'er in the '86. Much better than throwing $$$$ into a 400 to un-fuck it and make it a powerhouse. That's one man's opinion, and YMMV....

Sodium hypochlorite is what's in liquid bleach. I maintained over 2 million gallons of pool water for a city rec and parks dept. The newly built pool complex used liquid chlorine pumped from a 500 gallon bulk tank. Can't remember the exact concentration of the bulk liquid, but IIRC it was around 18%. The bottled stuff we used was 11%. We used liquid muriatic acid to adjust the pool chemistry as needed. That stuff was NASTY. Was a much higher concentration than the concrete wash stuff available at home depot (and used to clean transfer from saw cylinders). Had to wear a respirator when handling it, and the vapors would weaken clothing. Jeans and shirts would get holes a wash or two after being exposed to muriatic acid vapors....

Calcium hypoclorite is the solid/powder form often used in residential pools. Chlorine gas is the most effective (and dangerous) of the three forms used in pools. Not used much anymore. The old pool complex built in 1959 used Cl2 until they rebuilt the place sometime after I left in 1994 (to work at Sears Service). Had a couple close calls with that system. My boss there told me that when he arrived his first day on the job there, paramedics were working on the guy he was replacing, as HE had just been nailed good by chlorine gas. My boss also told me about a guy there that had fucked himself up good by pouring NaOCL and muriatic acid into the same bucket. Produced something similar to mustard gas IIRC......

You anti pedicure mfers don't know what your missing

Been a night prowler roaming the neighborhood and messing with the deputies yard decor. Last night he swiped his solar lights and put dog shit on his carport roof... Lol

So we installed cams that are linked to phone. Keep getting movement detection and pics with either a bright ball of light or a fog looking mass... Wife thinks this place is haunted now. Ffs

400 is a big piston short stroke low comp engine. it will take 6500 all day like a 383. the blower is the cheapest way to make power short of custom pistons or machine work on the deck, which i am not a fan of. its till a torque monster, but if i do any of it it will likely be the 440. pound for pound cheap power. i can prolly get 400hp and close 500lbft with nothing but a cam upgrade and a big carb. and do it under 5k rpm. idk wtf i need it for though.

Guy up the street has a bell for sale. Says it is a 30 or 32" single pass head on it. 98 model iirc. He replaced it with a bell on tracks. What's it worth mike?
them fukers are bringing more than i think they are worth. the 30" head makes it more desirable than a 25. i see those models between 20 and 30k depending on condition.
be advised "single cut" is bull shit. if she wont lift the stick off the stump you need a front cut or the stick will pinch the bar and bend it.
running one is a balancing act. in the right timber it can be almost as fast as a drive through, in heavy timber i personally would rather hand fall. it should lift most any 20" dbh pine btw. that size hard wood and bigger any thing you better put in a front cut first to save the bar.
