Walmart has been an ammo goldmine over the past week. 2275 rounds of Federal Automatch .22, 1100 rounds of .22 shorts, 800 rounds of .22 MiniMags, and 140 rounds of .30-30. All at pre-rona prices.

You have a bunch of 22. what ya gonna do with all them shorts. you must have a bolt action .
Can you still buy 22 longs? i used to shoot a lot of them as a kid. they use to be plentiful. haven't seen any in years. they may have stopped making them cause the modern auto loaders probably wouldn't work with them. i had a bolt gun back then.
I think longs are NLA, there are a variety of shorts, kinda overlapped and excided the longs.

They may be considered vintage now, gonna look to see if i have any. don't have a clue where they would be though. i bet T1 got like 10,000 rounds of em.
That may or may not be less than 10% of my .22 stash. 😈😜 I don't yet have a BA, but I want one. My dad does, though. He's in MI, and hasn't been able to buy ammo for a year, so some of those are for him. I've had a hard time finding a BA that fits my wants (carbine-length, with a detachable magazine).

marlin 25. its a little longer but its accurate. Dev has a mossberg auto thats short as hell. looks like a kids gun to me. idk if they make a bolt.
yeah there are shorts up over 1000fps now. rim fire ammo is a bit confusing now but i figured out i like, or my rifle likes SV and SS, ALL SS is not the same though, 1050-1090 with a 40gr is good. some are slow as 700. groups open a bit after 1100fps.
I stopped at the gun shop on the way home, they have a mini nagant mosin 22. it was pretty neat. be good for a kid.
