Gun talk or something beside the stupid title i gave it

The wife asked me to run into town with her for a couple things, stopped by the ranch supply store and I was wandering around looking at tools and shit and as always I was at the gun counter eyeballing a rifle. She walks up an tells me to pick out something I want and if it ain’t too much we’ll get it.
Well.

Well.

She got you a blanket to set your rifle on?

Lucky.....

Was that model only a K frame?

Yep the 19 was a K frame. Made to be carried a lot and not shot much with 357's. Intended for cops as a lightweight duty 357. That worked out ok until departments started doing all their training with duty ammo (decades ago). I've seen a LOT of shot-loose K19's. My department switched from M19's to Ruger Speed Sixes for good reason.

Most of the custom smiths with python barrels on them were made on L and N frames as Randy said.

I saw that blackface has banned the Buttmaster in his latest round of banned firearms
I had to watch the video as the gun sounded like the good morning thread.

Mark Serbu is awesome.

Thanks Rick. I’d never heard of the brand name before, made in Spain, called Bergara.
it’s chambered in 30-06, 24” barrel, it has a very nice action and fits me well.

Bergara makes fairly nice stuff from what I’ve seen. They have a ton of variations available, too.

Yep. Very good rifles for the $$$. They were mostly making barrels for OEM's until recently. The Bergara bolt guns use an action that has a Remington 700 footprint. Takes the same barrels, triggers, and stocks as the 700 series.

hello brother bear.

Bergara is good shit. my austin halleck inline has a bergara barrel, it make clover leaves at 100yds until the barrel fouls. when i first got her, all my buddys had TC and rem inlines, the a h put them all to shame. so bad one of them got rid of his TC. she does like long boolits, i shoot the barnes MZ 300gr, drop at 200 is about 10" but windage never changes. shoot that over 95gr black horn now days.
