Gun talk or something beside the stupid title i gave it

Taught my great nephew's fiance'
To shoot pistols
Started with the tx .22 and m&p compact .22
She did great

so I had her shoot a canik subcompact 9mm
she loved it
get her lined up at 100yds with her
Ruger .350 legend
she did great.
it really helped having her shoot silhouettes and golf balls with her Ruger 10/22 she was more comfortable shooting at distance.

This guy has a new m1a
Great shooter ringing the gong at 110yds everytime.

My Canik SFX is having problems. Light primer strikes. I'll dig into it when I can. I had read something about the plunger safety dragging on the striker.
I read before that canik will send you a spring for 115gr if your having light primer strikes
Because they are tuned for 124gr NATO spec
I'd clean it thoroughly first though
I've had 4 caniks and never had any problems
But I do reload ammo to max safe loads.

My caniks won't feed that underpowered stuff like sterling ammo. works fine with all others but light primer strikes is not the cause of what mine does. it does not eject and double feeds from the slide not going back far enough.Did it just start or been having problems all along?

The problem just started and quickly progressed. I removed the striker cleaned it. No difference.

So I took my friend to line his 25/06 and 30/06 up
Since ammo is so expensive and he's a military vet army 1970s
I had him set up his own targets and rest
I just held the dog's ears as he fired.
After 15 rnds he couldn't keep the 25/06 on paper at 50yds
I then saw the scope was waking all over the bases
He didn't even tighten the new scope up it up.
After he did I got him zero'd at 100yds
Then he went to shoot the 30/06 luckily I looked at the ammo
He only brought .270 so he quit shooting thankfully.
My friends called and texted to watch him he'd once put a .270 in a 7mm rem mag and blew the case up so bad the pressure hir his face and caused blood to run and bruises on his face
No one ever told me this and I had no reason to watch him I do now.

I used to wouldn't have cared for the red dot on a pistol, although they do help you get on target faster...but the big thing for me is my eyes ain't what they used to be and aligning both sights up is harder when both are fuzzy. even with glasses one will be clear and the other blurry. the red dot eliminates that and allows you to shoot better.
