Gun talk or something beside the stupid title i gave it

@thomas1

I was watching a couple videos on red dots on the smith 10mm and the cheap plastic plates that come with the gun breaks and the optic flies off. one hit the guy in the head and cut him open a little. The plates that come with it are flimsy plastic crap. i can see them breaking easy. they were buying a metal plate from somewhere and it worked. dern plate cost 50 bucks. Another example of S&W putting out cheap crap now. along with the cardboard boxes they put the guns in. Caniks comes with 5 or 6 thick metal plates to mount the optic to. guess i'll have to buy a plate before i get the optic. I'll have to find out who made that plate. maybe more than one who does.

Metal plates came with the Taurus. Base is drilled and tapped and then 4 plates to adapt the locating pins on whatever optic you use.

I can’t imagine a plastic plate is a good idea. Plastic and threads don’t usually go well together.

I really don't think S&W think things out before putting it on the market. and probably don't test nothing either. Their 380 EZ has all kinds of problems and they won't do anything about it. people send the guns back in and they return them like they received them. done nothing to them.

Shot this POS sig P322 this morning, if any of you are looking at one, DON’T, check out all the reviews on it, wish i had. Multiple light primer strikes where the ammo don’t go off, and i mean multiple and many jams. failure to lock open on last round. I put around 400 rounds through it.

Rear sight keeps coming loose even with screw tight. you can actually wiggle the cheap plastic rear sight. After i looked on YT about it i found several with the same problem. i’m sending it back but they won’t fix it cause they didn’t none of the guys on YT that sent theirs back. can’t believe sig put their name on such a piece of junk.

But when it did fire a round it was pretty accurate. it has more recoil than the Taurus TX22 which BTW is 10 times the gun this sig is.

Oh they are compared to an older S&W revolver or an older 1911, but the new polymer pistols do not cost what the older better guns sell for used. not even close in most cases, but still no excuse to put out something that don't work.
