Gun talk or something beside the stupid title i gave it

I keep getting the revolver bug.... Some day I’d like to get a good 357 or 45LC
Here ya go

Times would have to get pretty rough for me to buy a Kimber. I’d buy a Chinese made bastardized replica before I’d buy a Kimber.
In 1996 I saw a American handgunner
Magazine at work
They had announced chip mcCormick's
Build kits would be
Sold as complete pistols by
Kimber of Oregon
I had dozens of chip mcCormick 1911 mags
They were great mags back then.
And I had a Kimber .22 bolt action
Awesome rifle.
So I ordered one and prepaid
They were only 400.00
And it's honestly a great pistol
Very accurate and reliable
mine's under 4000 serial number range
Probably has 10k rounds through it now.
Then a few years later they moved to new york and added the external extractor.
Guy's I shot idpa
With bought new one's
And had nothing but trouble with them
They took a good pistol and ruined it.

Kimbers are way overpriced, those Turkish gune are hard to beat for quality and price, whether it's a shotgun or handgun. but even they have gone up since i bought my first one.
My gunsmith friend told me he only
Adds night sights or does trigger jobs
On the turkish gun's.
He's never had to fix a malfunctioning turkish gun
He's a big fan of the regent hipower clone
In his words it's as accurate and better built than many original hi-powers we're.
Account to him .45 is dead in Idpa and everyone went to 9mm locally.
Some guy's are running the turkish semi automatic shotguns for skeet shooting.

I can't fault Taurus on how they responded, it was the crap they were making at the time, two different pistols, different problems, pistols were shipped back and forth a few times.
In the end they sent brand new ones to replace them, which I promptly sold.
I sent a worn out Super Blackhawk to Ruger, I got a card back with an estimate and questions about use.
In the end, Ruger kept it and sent me a new one for the cost of repairs on the old one.
H110 is erosive as is W296, I was advised to discontinue use of heavy loads with the lighter bullets
