Nah those trees aren’t dead - they are just late to the party…. that or if you consider their location, they’re technically ‘right on time’
Scottsville is about 12 miles south of Lake Ontario - not fully considered ‘lake front’ climate there but in the grand scheme of things it’s cooler in the Rochester region due to the lake so a lot of times you’ll see the areas closer to the lake showing signs of life later in the year
Down in Dansville everything is sprouted and green as ever - but that’s 50+ miles south of the lake so we get a different outcome in the southern tier - I definitely see the difference between where I live and what’s doing in the city or areas surrounding the city
Same thing happens in the fall with leaf color - the southern tier will hit peak a week or two before they do up in Roch or Buffalo - Ontario and Erie are their own climates and you sometimes feel you went forwards or backwards in time when traveling to and fro depending on what time of year it is

Fuel truck developed a fuel leak on the engine, i will probably finish off my list and call the season done before exploring said leak. If the truck starts again today, if not i guess fixing said leak will jump up the list

Temps climbed to 73*ef overcasty ,,,,took 2 calls to get the clearance to deliver the 18” cord that eye tossed in the trlr this morning ,,traded it for $275in folding money bout 3 p.m. 💸👍,Eye have awlways been curious about how many pieces ina a split cord ,,,,was a casual mornin lil breeze ,,,,taking it outa a cord rack an tossin in the trlr ,,stahted counting ,,🤔🤔was up to 300 @ the half cord mark 👍jus for accuracy ,,,, eye started over ,,,counting the 2nd half ( because it was gettin hard to member how many fingers n toes were used 15 times again ,,,came up wif 310 chunks for the 2nd half 🤔🤔🤔🤔pretty impressive determination of the half cord mark ( within 5 chunks 🤗) ,,a “ legal “ 18” cord should be bout 6 hunnert splits ! Data supplied by yours truely 🤗👍🙄. Did manage to cut 15-20 rounds to finish the 20” cord in progress,,,broke a sweat in less then 15 minutes 🥵🤨 jus before the front edge of the cloudpiss arrived ,,,should pass thru on its way to PEI by midnite 🤷♂️Prolly split/shuttl/stack it tomally eve afta the toddlers head for home 4:30 ish 🤔🤷♂️
