Not So Pros v3.0

I remember a story about testing locomotive wheels with a hammer, if they rang, they were good, if they clunked, back to the smelter they went, after several went clunk, they found the hammer had cracked
When I was young I worked in a machine shop. The guy would get crankshaft cores. You would go threw the pile using this method. If it rang like a bell it was good enough to magnaflux it to really check. You could use anything to hit it, it didn't matter if it was a rock, bolt or the floor, whatever. It would ring true if the carck wasn't bad. Those wheels went to scrap because they were bad it was just a chance occurance, that hammer could have been cracked since the day it was made.

Speaking of hammers, my neighbor has an estwing that is deafening when you hit a nail with it rings like mad.

Correct. Helluva good dude.

Not ready for a photo shoot yet. So the guy had replaced ignition switch but it still no worky so he simply put a push button on it. I went through the harness and corrected the issue and now the key works as it should meaning it also has glow plug function now. And the fuel system was a nasty mess, been sitting awhile. Starts very easily now and mechanically it seems very good shape. It is a 13 year old chinese tractor but 2k for a diesel fwa with 2 speed live pto seems good
