Had a St.Peters Winter Ale from England then a Leviathan from here followed by a DIPA from Tater Island and on my second wee dram of Seagrams 83 .
I have a friend that makes shine but it's more or less a neutral spirit like Vodka.
I picked up a litre last week to run an experiment .
I went to the woodpile and got some white oak, split it small then tossed it in the toaster oven, after that I took the propane torch and gave it some char .
The oak has been in the jar for a day and it's already darkened up , methinks that I'm gonna give it a wee taste .
