Wanna see a 585?

Yeh, they slam the limiter stock, and the 585 I had wanted to tune well above the limiter. I had best luck adjusting with a Pac man driver. One had a thin tooth and fit just right. Neither of my splined drivers would fit.

I left the numbers low, added some compression and went for the low end, being rpm limited.
T1 dated a girl like that

Real world how do they compare to 394/395s In use
Is there a huge difference in power or not enough to bother with.

Stock to stock power is up a good bit on the new 5 saws.

Fully ported the 394/5 will stsrt to walk away.

If you like the feel of the new stuff, and it holds up, it will be hard to go back for a full time user.
My cousin hadn't heard of them he's a full-time logger doesn't get on the internet much
His 394/395s are getting worn out he's looking to upgrade
I told him about these he doesn't do electronic saws like the 592 since that got damned 661 he says
The 585 would suit him well.

If its 90°+ and plan to use an mtronic 661 for more than 3 tanks back to back either fuel it up running or go ahead and punch yerself in the face for not leaving it running. I'm speaking of at least a dozen saws that pulled the same crap. Resets, new solenoids, filters, coils.. same stuff

The best one went swimming and is living with the fishes. 592 i ran was real, meh

The av on this one feels right about close to a 661.

If he is running a 24” this would be my choice if he dont like 661.

661 is still my favorite.
He had a early one when they came out and no local dealer with the software to service it at the time
And damn was he pissed
He sold it off and kept running mostly 394/395s
He has some 660s and a clone 660
He's run it two year's now and likes it still together.

Took exhaust to 101. Widened a tad. These have a step around the perimeter, took out the top and sides but left the step on bottom.

They are fairly open to muffler and did not touch out to can other than smoothing casting.
