Friend of mine for some reason bought a
271 for his son 4 months ago
He straight gasses it
So he brings me a high performance rebuild kit for it.
I told him it won't fit
He says the FB says it will
I asked why they didn't have the dealer
Fix it
They did and was quoted 450.00
What a bargain.
The kid clearly maintains his equipment
Here's a 046 drum
Last I saw the 046 it was in excellent condition
Before his dad gave it to him
I get what's left of it when he junks it.

046 is kinda a big saw to have a spur sprocket on it
My Poulan 8500 had a spur sprocket on it. There's a rim drive clutch on the saw now...
It was in the case with the 271

My partner Alton does the soap and water thing
As for me, I carry a toothbrush, so at the least it gets that, or the air compressor.
3 months maybe on the foam, replacements are inexpensive
