Whatever kind the big glass shops are installing seem to be the best ones. That's where I got mine and it works perfect. I can't remember the brand name. Do not buy a DIY one and let Billy Bob down the holler install it

Newer Chevy trucks, if it has a fob for the door locks there’s a kit that includes new fobs and a code for the dealer to use to activate the feature on the computer.Was remote start a factory available option? Sometimes its as easy as getting the modual and remote and plugging it into an existing spot. Some aftermarket ones are also plug and play.
I got a price from the place that did my car stereo and the are $350-375 installed. Code alarm is the brand.
My carport is close to 100 ft from the house and I thought it would be nice to not have to walk out there to start the car to warm up every morning.The War Dept's '16 Suburban has remote start as a factory option. Nice when things are froze'd up good outside.
