Mines only 2 wheel drive, i drove a 300 4 wheel drive when i bought it and it took a 40 acre field to turn around in. i didn't want that.Yours was the biggest current Honda 4x4 quad in 1990, as they'd discontinued the old TRX350 4X4 after the 1989 production year. Like T1 said, those rigs are built like tanks.

Story of my life.
Some things are so obvious you wonder why someone bothers to mention them.same here.
I didn't realize you were SS's neighbor. My sister's daughter's husband's brother's wife owns this buggyView attachment 1572View attachment 1573View attachment 1574new clutch and tune-up they just need to finish the interior.
It's been a good one, i only had it in the shop one time for a stripped oil plug and they didn't fix it. so i JB welded that sucker. it still leaks but not much. i can live with it. just need to keep a pan under it to keep from gettin my barn floor oily.. and yes those oil filter are a one way deal. only time i use it is at deer season anyway. Those 300's are good, tough machines. The engine/trans is a continuation of the old ATC250 Big Red utility machine. Their only weak points lie in the rear axle. Just about can't kill that engine...............unless you oil starve it. My buddy has been running the Big Reds and the 300's for decades. He killed the original engine in his Big Red by installing the oil filter backwards during an oil change. Completely starved it for oil flow and siezed it in short order. Fortunately he had an engine in a TRX250 hulk (the early one with the swing axle front end) to swap in.
Those things used to be popular here back in the 70's now the ones you see have roll cages and bigger engines. My sister's daughter's husband's brother's wife owns this buggyView attachment 1572View attachment 1573View attachment 1574new clutch and tune-up they just need to finish the interior.
