That's a good plan, although you can occasionally run into issues. I've been doing data recovery for a while. I use the previous version of this:

It works great. Especially, if you just have a laptop that you can connect the old hard drive to.

I have a couple of versions of that, also some HDD enclosures and some SSD ones as well. Ive converted a few HDDs from cable boxes to be used in a PC/laptop.
Done sone file recovery as well. Dont do as much as I used to. Got some interesting stuff off some yard sale HDDs

Just make sure your engine don't have a tapered shaft. Water pump ones are all tapered. You can make or probly buy an adaptor of course

For my impacts working on stuff

I got 8 more today I use them a lot working on motorcycle/atv engines with all those damn fasteners.
The cordless ratchets are good but I have several makita 18v impacts.

Been tryin to keep up with the man of action today, which is an impossible task. Picked up sticks for two hours this morning, burned em, changed oil in both bikes then rode them to gas station and filled em up. Poured all the gas in cans in lawn mowers. put them in truck and rode to station and filled them, then filled the truck with that high dollar diesel. then came back went to work on that wheeler. about done with it. now i've had my bowl of cereal it's back to work.

Be glad you don’t live here you wouldn’t have to worry about that high dollar diesel stuff for much longer if you did. All personal diesel sales will be banned in the not so distant future let alone the idiots trying to ban all diesel.
