Not So Pros v3.0

After being told no from various HR "professionals" , I found other things to do that ultimately led me to logging and I dig it.

That said, yes there are folks that don't want to work, for a variety of reasons.
Other folks looking for a job will be offered and turn it down and that happens.

Some things I noticed while reading/applying to job postings, most of the time it's the same jobs being posted by the same places. What's that tell you?

Mfers are looking for qualifications and experience and people that don't exist . That not the potential hires fault, thats a problem with the company offering the job.

I'll tell ya, there is a part of me that is happy the tables have turn on corporate/employers. Congratulations, the bar has been raised so high mfers can't qualify and/or are sick of your shit.

Fuck off/carry on

Couldn't agree more. I'm in this exact situation right now. I LOVE that execs and HR folks are hurting/crying. They've been fucking with their employees/applicants for way too long.

Over the last two Winters, I have spent a great deal time wandering the dusty, debris littered halls of my memories, a lot of it got typed out.
First I looked at something as I thought I remembered it, then how it should have gone and actually WTF it was.
There were some surprises. I went through my first 20 years and discovered a trait had developed early on, if I couldn't or wouldn't deal with something, I buried that motherfucker deep.
The mind can do some funny stuff, it generally spends its time fucking with you, in some form or another.
Fast forward into this century, the PTSD bullshit, my mind refused to take anymore and released the squirrels. Classic behavior for me, I couldn't or wouldn't deal with it, so I buried it as I went along.
We know how well that worked. CB?
I had a miracle cure that took care of a few things, I am pretty much at peace with myself, as I am now and who I was.
I have said that there are things that don't bare scrutiny, I went and dug some of those motherfuckers up.
Some memories just stay buried, like a grandmother that try to steal your kids away from you and turn you into a murderer.

I can think on that now, Ive worked through it.

I’m trying to build a new maintenance team and we’re starting basic handyman maintenance people out at $22/hr - this place gives decent bonuses and good raises

I need a maintenance supervisor and we’re looking to start someone with good building construction background and some leadership skills - said candidate will be a $28/hr hire

Listings are posted on indeed, monster, and Craigslist - we have a sign out on the apron of our main driveway that says now hiring

Have had the listings posted for months now - for fucking months…. Nobody has been hired at all…. Had a couple interviews but once offeres were made, they just didn’t get back to us and they were never heard from again….

Nobody wants to work…. nobody…..

I used to climb chairlift towers - when I started out I was doing that for $6.75 an hour and it took me a handful of years to get up to $10 when I turned 21…. Nobody wants to work today, even when the pay is light years better than it used to be, and it’s a compete fucking joke….

In 1984 at 14 years old my first regular job worked for a cousin.
I was paid 2.75 an hour to cut
gas pipeline right of ways
With a mowing scythe.
If your unfamiliar think grim reaper
The thing with a blade he carried.
I'd collapse quickly and die now trying to use one
But back then I could sharpen and cut
Up to 3" saplings with one swing
Had a single bit axe to clear tree's
Rode a 72 rt360 Yamaha to and from work.
You'll think I'm joking but I had to actually bring sparkplugs from home
For a gravely walk behind mower.
My cousin swore that a sparkplug never went bad
And wouldn't buy any
So I brought some with me everyday to
Make cutting flat ground faster.

The problem with all this is that companies wont be able to pay what employees want and wont be able to keep the doors open. And if are able to pay up how much will it inflate the products or serervices cost?

The key to fixing high prices, is high prices
its all gonna go to hell at some point. those of us with the ware with all will survive. i wouldnt want to be in a city when it goes, gonna be some bad shit there.
