I have a decent trimmer . This one was given to me as a parts trimmer . When the coil isn’t going wonky ,it runs well . Figured I’d get it going ,and give it to someone needing a trimmer .

Have you eyed up a Chinese saw coil to see if one could be adapted? That looks very much like a 2 series husky coil. I know some have been adapted to pioneer / homelite saws with the blue junk presto lite coils. Not that hard to do and I've gotten those coils for less than $10 in the past

I’ll keep looking for something that will work . It’s not a rush job ,so I can let it sit around until something shows up .

Yes, a non strato poulan coil will work on a Pioneer P72 with just a little persuasion

LOL. I do have an Echo weedwhip of that vintage that need an ign module. Watching to see what John comes up with, as The War Dept wants a small trimmer like that fer the garden, and this one is in great shape (bought new for Dad back in 198something) other than no sparkee.
