New 70cc class dyno day

Lotta those AS/OPE guys don't think about the clutch, AV's, or the oiler. Yeah that whiz-bang ported 70cc class saw can now pull more bar.......................but can it oil it (and can the clutch last for more than a few cookie cutting sessions)? Can the AV's handle the strain of supporting that long b/c during felling cuts (where it's horizontal-ish)?

We don't worry about clutch... I put 86cc on a 59cc clutch :)

It was shot after a shot while

Shit, that 500i goes into valve float. It would be impressive hell if you could get it to carry out a bit longer.

Wait... For the record I don't like the tech, but I'm impressed

For those that don't know what the power curve looks like when valve float happens. In a 4stroke...
I'm surprised at just how flat that curve is and it just falls off on the top end. Be interested in seeing one that has had a little work done to it. I wonder what the cause of the sharp drop off in power is caused by?

It's the tune.

Rich Tune drops power like that.

500i price really isn't far off from other models that a guy making a living with a saw would buy. I got a few of the solid older tunable saws..

The 500i haters are ones that have only ran one for a couple cookie cuts before the saw was broke in. Or have never ran one at all..

Or are hanging a 3' bar on one, I'm sure it will pull it no problem but the A/V will feel soft. The power to weight is where its at for the 500i

I'll admit to being a hater. Wait until the injector goes out and you have to buy a new one. Fi is not the place for a chainsaw.
Would I take one for cheep, hell yeah, I'll run anything. But I won't spend big bucks to buy anything like that, or for the upkeep.
