54mn big bore 460 cylinder on echo 620 bottom end
This was just a 50mm bore, but runs close to the 54mm
What's stock bore........48mm? What's da stroke? What jug didja run with the 50mm bore? I don't know much about that saw series....

For those that don't know what the power curve looks like when valve float happens. In a 4stroke...
I'm surprised at just how flat that curve is and it just falls off on the top end. Be interested in seeing one that has had a little work done to it. I wonder what the cause of the sharp drop off in power is caused by?
Runs are done high rpm to low, just like cutting. So a rich tune won't apply much load while 4 stroking.

Jon told me there is another pn# for the newer av springs on the 500i. I havent followed up yet on that.
For what they charge for those 500's, they should come with the stiffer AV set (and a hooker wif some blow).
500i price really isn't far off from other models that a guy making a living with a saw would buy. I got a few of the solid older tunable saws..
The 500i haters are ones that have only ran one for a couple cookie cuts before the saw was broke in. Or have never ran one at all..
Or are hanging a 3' bar on one, I'm sure it will pull it no problem but the A/V will feel soft. The power to weight is where its at for the 500i

I'll admit to being a hater. Wait until the injector goes out and you have to buy a new one. Fi is not the place for a chainsaw.
Would I take one for cheep, hell yeah, I'll run anything. But I won't spend big bucks to buy anything like that, or for the upkeep.
