It's about time.Good morning.
Sunny and at least a few degrees above freezing.
Another coat of Rust Mort on a floor pan then back to waiting for it to cure.
Probably fall, cut, split and stack a few cords while I’m waiting.
same here

lol Jimmy - I handle the biggest parts of the operations in the building - that’s not bragging, that’s just fact….
The receiving and inventory manager isn’t as busy as I am - it gets hectic when he has two solar cover trucks and 2 floor loaded containers coming in all on the same day but they stay fairly steady year round and their pace is usually continuous regardless of what time of year it is
Shipping ramps up to a really intense speed for about 3 months and it’s completely unmanageable chaos - it really is absolutely insane
Facilities Maintenance gets pretty nuts after pool season cuz there’s a solid 3-4 month window with the whole building empty so that’s when you try to do as much as you can in each area and you never finish - the product continually comes in and eventually starts filling up and that stops you from getting things done
Then shipping and facilities departments both have somewhat of a steady lull for about 3 months and then it’s prep time for pool season which is a lot of work to train new staff and orchestrate everybody - then pool season arrives and you lose any control of any aspect of the place and all the stuff you trained people on goes out the door - you can’t do anything but run around and tell people to just hurry up and get things shipped and tell them to be there 70hrs a week to get the shit done….
Once it’s over you lay off more than half your shipping people, we stop working Sundays, and all shipping staff work no more than 40hrs a week….
Wham Bam - it’s over quick - and year after year, we do nothing more than rinse and repeat so we can enjoy the insanity time and time again…. 🤙
Where's cjcocn?
Were you soaked?
Meh, these cars gots real engines in em, not them popcorn fart machines.
Those were the days of the big bumper rippers!Back then
I were gonna suggest entering the Subie for a pull ,,,,but I’ll bet it’s too light in the front !?😎🤔🤦♂️There’s a small town tractor pull going on in Dansville in early/mid June sometime
If there no other family plans I’ll certainly be going to check that out….
They could use it to light up the track.I were gonna suggest entering the Subie for a pull ,,,,but I’ll bet it’s too light in the front !?😎🤔🤦♂️
That’s funny you posted that first vid -
Stateline Speedway is a couple of hours from me over in Jamestown - I’ve never seen those specific races in person but I’ve been there before and seen some cool shit there for sure
In Canandaigua, right where the waterpark is - 5 minutes north at the fairgrounds, is where Tony Stewart killed that dude that hopped out of his car - I was working that very night - I’ll never forget the fire trucks and ambulances and closed roads…. that was way back when I was married
Back in those years I’d get to work and I used to leave the park after it was all closed up and things were shut down and go watch the races on Saturday nights for an hour or two with the at-the-time-wife and then go back to work - did it all while high on chlorine n acid ,,an stihl on the clock hahaha
Fixed for truf!!
This is code for, jerking offYou must watch everyone else work. You spent a great deal of time talking about Subies the other day.
