Good morning thread

Good afternoon.

Aftermarket hubs are about half an inch too short so I packaged them back up and started a return for them.

I’ll pay twice (or more) the price tomorrow, but they will be the right ones and the Jeep will be back on the road.

Ball joints were bad, axle shaft u joint was bad, and the hub may have been okay but I separated it while removing it from the rust weld that was holding it on.

It’s going to ride nice when it is done.

Guess they saw the address 🤔🤔 and sent dimensionally proportionate parts !?🤷‍♂️🙄🤦‍♂️

Curious ?? What measurement on the hub was to short ?? Eye’ve noticed some replacement hubs don’t fit into the spindle as far as Oe ,,,guessing they’re trying to lessen the amount of hub depth to have less surface to rust in place . Use a flap wheel on a die grinder to remove any rust on the “ bore “ of the spindle ,,the new hub should be able to easily slide in completely till the flanges meet ,,coat both the cleand spindle bore and the new hub flange and hub mount bolts with nevrsieze ,,justin case you’ve got to dismantle it again in the future ! 🤗👍🤞

The flange where the wheel studs are held sits about half an inch lower.

So the distance between the flange that bolts to the knuckle and the flange that holds the wheel studs is too short.
