Gas cans

I was gonna go that route before I found the ones I linked to. And the Jerry can style supposedly seals well enough that they don’t necessarily have to be stored upright.

I have an older German surplus can like those. On a trip along the Peligreen Jeep Trail it flopped on its side in the back of my Scout. Didn't notice it until day's end, and it hadn't leaked a drop in about six hours in 100f weather. Impressive. Wish I'd bought about 10 more of them back when I got this one in 2005 or so. Has a neat little multi position aluminum tag that states diesel, gasoline, and two other fuels (in German) depending on how you have it oriented in the mounting bracket.

Sounds nice, German designed and built. The original "Jerry can".

Exactly, They been using that style since WWII. Much better than our Blitz type 'jeep cans'. Blitz copied the basic shape of the German 20L cans, but didn't (or couldn't at the time) copy the superior German spout system. The Germans were way ahead of us in steel stamping expertise. Witness the MG42...

I have a couple no spill cans that split at the seams and other spots. No spill supposedly warranties their cans. They asked for pics of the splits, the date codes, the overall can. Sent them all that and they stopped responding. Happy to spend my money elsewhere.
I would too if I had that happen.
I sure like the 2-1/2 gallon for saws. The 5 gallon suck without adding a vent.

That sucks. I had a locking collar split on an early no-spill can spout. Had to send the pics and date codes, and they sent a new spout assembly after a few weeks.

Sent them one more email, after this post, asking why they stopped responding. No response to that, either. A couple days later a new can was laying beside my mailbox.
