There were a couple of miners 25 years or so ago they had to fight off a grizzly by hand as it caught them away from their guns , but lucky for them they were in the yard where they worked on their equipment. Pieces of pipe, sledge hammers, angle iron, axes, and anything they could lay their hands on. It was a fight or die situation that only came out in there favor as there was two of them.
