Ammo links/buys

Yep. 12g and 20g shells are still fairly common here (and on the webs) though (relatively speaking). What's almost impossible to find, and EXPENSIVE when found is 410 bore of all things. Only the super exxpensive, gimmicky "defense" rounds are anywhere to be found in 410 bore. The most prevalent shotgun ammo in stores here is 28g. I've never seen so much 28g in my life. Shit's everywhere........'cause nobody fuckin shoots it.

And 410 ammo was something I hardly cared about until recently. With youngins wanting to choot, and with farm vermin (rats, foxes, etc) about, I now have use for .410 shells. Gave a buddy's son almost all my loaded 410's, and all my empty 410 hulls many years ago as I wasn't chooting 410. Now I am scrounging for 410 hulls. Any of you's guys have good useable 410 hulls you'd part with? Mostly needing 2.5", but 3" be welcome as well. T1 dated a girl....

One of my uncles used to have a 28, I dunno where it ended up, likely auctioned off. It was his grouse gun. Most 28s I've seen are part of a 4 gun set for international skeet. The only .410 I have is a little Mossberg 500, that SOB kicks worse than my 12ga 870 does. Too light, IMO. I've got a recipe for some real soft shooting 1oz 12 ga loads, but loading supplies are as short as ammo is.

Range planned ahead for the youth shooting here, but they're $7/box.

I talked to a friend at lunch tonight, my club has good stock, but they'll need to sell them for replacement cost, and who knows what that will be. Local hardware store that a lot of shooters buy from around here was told by Federal not to expect any shipments for up to a year. I need to go check another LGS, heard they have Fiocchi for $70/case. That's $20 higher than I paid for Top Gun last year, but not totally unreasonable I guess.

Now that I got a .308, no Minnesota Elk will be safe.

I've heard there may actually be some, up nort of Hinckley area, that wandered off from the Clam Lake herd. I think MN has some up in far NW MN too, but that would be a long shot even for the legendary Tree Oh Ate from your place.

I wonder how the game wardens would view an AR 12 in a duck blind? Things that make you go hhhhmmmmmmmm

Given a 3 round mag, or a way to plug a 5 rounder down to 3, I don't see what they could say. Any of em use one of the standard Rem, Browning, or Mossberg screw in choke systems?

Also, I missed a quote on the bullpups. I remember seeing one in a gun magazine that bottom ejected (lefty friendly), but haven't seen one in person. RH ejecting bullpups lose their luster on the 10% of us that are better than the rest of ya.

Ha
I would donate a box to my sons school if they had a program like that. In a heartbeat

I've loaded 7/8 oz 12g target loads for The War Dept in the past, and still have the componants to do so (reminds me to order more wads). My 12g guns are all too big and heavy for the youngins for now. I do have a 20g Winchester 140 autoloader that is lighter.

I think those AR12 shotguns would be Kosher for hunting if plugged to 1 in the pipe and 2 in the mag. Most of the Turk made guns are set up for the Beretta Mobilchoke tubes (those that aren't fixed IC or cyl).

I always liked a 16 too, you mighta had the same marlin i had. now that i think about it, it wasn't a goose gun. crap that was a long time ago.
Dads is identical to this one, mom still has it.
