Not So Pros v3.0

While I'm bitchin' about gas being $6.70 and food is expensive, the panic being shown in Europe will be off the charts soon.
Very few are prepared, they are out stripping branches off trees in hope to not freeze, most have already spent their savings on food, theft of food and gasoline is rampant
10s of thousands in the streets of many cities, in many countries screaming at their governments for getting them in this predicament.
I'm guessing the situation will degenerate much farther, I wouldn't want to be an elected official over there.
Right extremist groups are coming out of the woodwork, chaos and anarchy, blood and fire.

I'm going to the local car show tomorrow and have hotdogs, a burger or two, stop at the beer garden and enjoy a fine sunny day.

It's been that way in Venezuela for about 30 years now...most people can't even get OTC medicine there.

never less than a 10" wedge. i like triple tapers best, extra lift the last few inches. are you driving against the lean? its a hard lean you gonna have a lot more compression. but yeah i think youll like a wider longer wedge. i highly recommend the red head triple taper.

Okay, I'll order some 10", triple taper wedges. Yes, sometimes against the lean.

What’s the lean look like? Western red is about as soft as they come if the lean isn’t too bad where’s your placement of your hinge a 1/3 to 1/2 deep or 10 percent depth?

Sometimes no lean. Sometimes mild. Often a curved stem, that leans against the back cut, but then bends back towards the face cut, about halfway up. Hinge depth about 1/3. Should it be deeper?

put wedges in side by side on the soft stuff.
removing bark is a good idea, excess sapwood is a problem easily solved

I get my firewood unloaded promptly, so I can go get some more, hauled close to 7 cords in the last month.

Okay, I'll try that. Removing some bark and sapwood makes sense. I gotta be careful though, as the core is rotten on most of these trees.
