Plenty of TP at the stores here. Anyone remember when it was against the law for a store to be open on Sunday?
Which we didn't have the stores like we do now. Sterling was the wal mart and it was downtown little rock. i remember the old building and the old wooden floors. it was safe to go downtown back then.

Yeah it wasn't that long ago that they let them open on Sunday here, 20 years ago maybe. I also remember there being ashtrays in the hospital
I remember the first business to ban smoking even before it became law was the coffee shop just up the road, which was funny because the woman who ran it smoked like a freight train. We figured she would go tits up not allowing people to smoke while they drank coffee but it's still open today
The story said there was going to be a paper shortage, apparently paper shopping bags are coming back big time. They banned plastic ones here last year.
You're the first person I've ever heard say a good word about front loaders. My buddy won't even go look at one to repair it. He tells people throw them away

It changed to a smoking section that was sectioned off with glass doors from the rest of the store. That must have been in the early 2000s but it could have been earlier. They got rid of it completely and banned you from smoking neer the entrances not long after.

It is supposed to happen here also. I've been hording plastic bags to use in the kitchen garbage, so far I've manage to stockpile a lot.
We have an LG front load that I bought from Sears bargin basement(customer return) going on 8 trouble free years years .
But having said that, I don't wash horse blankets , brass shell casings , chainsaw parts or monies in it so not sure how long it would last for you guys .
Have a Kenmore Elite badged LG front loader . 15 years ,and still working well .

based on my own observations in this house, i am almost pure southern southern scot on my fathers side, mom is scandinavian and english.
the handbrake is mostly irish on her fathers side, english and idk what else on her mothers. we think totally different.
i am severely independent with no need of society and tend to think of every thing logical, while she is a people person and uses more emotion. this dosent mean she is not as bright, simply that her mind works differently.
i wonder, in this day of encouraged genetic mixing, what will wind up with in future generations? i am not convinced it will be improved.
