I never noticed that. We just call the county roads by their letter up here.
Post office has to have a street number for some reason, hence the street number in addition to the County Road letter.
Yet another example of our highly efficient and ultra organized government at work.
(I'd call the county and heckle them about it, but a new sign probably costs three fitty give or take a thousand.)
