The Stihl thread

Is this the new my computer chip powered saw is not working anymore thread?

Cant say i never saw that happening

Actually this one ran flawless in stock form but it's far from stock now and it needs calibrated so it will maybe learn to fuel properly. The first segment of calibration requires 30-60 seconds of idle time and it will only idle 10 seconds before it dies. They actually are dependable saws

It passed every test the dealers have ran it through. Pres/vac, fuel system pressure, injector pop off. The damn thing just needs to idle long enough to run through calibration. All total I have about 6 hours in standing around at 3x dealers. I'm sending it to some guy in Wisconsin next

The uppity prick formerly known as the Madison Hammer now lives in Iowa.

Zip tie the throttle open
That'll straighten it out.

Left it at this last dealer for a week. He claimed the jug was heavily scored on the intake side. So I pulled it apart, absolutely nothing wrong with the jug or piston. I bolted a stock jug and slug on it just to see if it acts the same. I suspect it will run as well as a stock one would due to the parameters the electronics are used to working with. But this will rule out other issues

So these computer saws won't be legacy saws passed down through families and friends
You won't be finding a barn find whatever hot shit saw that'll start after setting around a few years.
Bmw has pay to use subscription for heated seats. Following that stihl will take a page out of that book soon enough.

Dealer only service items can go fuck themselves

Eye got nothing for sail. But that mfr runs

And I wouldn't trade 1 500i for 6 old huskys. Not that I am brand loyal at all. Just know what works to make money
I like my old junk they're fun I do have a few new saws but they set around.
Actually I was going to buy a carbed 462 off of dan in Greece
But somebody on as reported him for importing them and he quit selling them or he couldn't get them anymore iirc
