I cant believe the Chiefs went with the absolute cheapest paint available at the Man's Mall. Red is fer tractors and barns, green is for football teams.

I had one of their earliest models, wood trim, wood seats, and wood reinforced transom. I redid the woodwork and a year later had a tree land on it while at my friend's cabin on the lake.
Was gonna make a planter out of it at home, but his methhead kid (pretty sure, but he won't confess) sold it for scrap.

Good question. Not sure if the threads are tapered/pipe. I've been wondering if it is for some pipe fitting plumbing tool?
Seems as though I remember seeing something similar on a slip type coupler on the old cast iron pipes. I may be up in the night too!
