My shop's a fucking mess right now. Still got tons of crap leftover from the move last year. Putting effort into remedying that this fall/winter.

That would be before. The red ones were the last of the pre MTD machines I think. Pretty sure cub got sold off to MTD about the same time IH ag was sold off to Tenneco/Case.

I may be wrong but I think Cub Cadet was their own company for a few years after the selloff.

I checked Wiki (and we know how accurate they can be).

According to them, IH sold them off to MTD in 81, and they supplied to IH dealers till the sale of IH in 85.

The last of the IH designed Cadets was the 82 series.

IIRC, the 129 was built from 1972 thru 1974.

Keep getting sidetracked but finally got a little done done the loader repairs. New bushings and missing metal replaced.

how did you work that weld down? looks to smooth for grinding.

I'm replacing the worn out pins with chromed hardened hyd cyl rod. I cobbled a fixture to mount my angle grinder to a scrap of rod. Stab it in the hole and swing it around...
