Glad someone grabbed that low hanging fruit.. I was resisting the urge.
I dated a girl like that
Ten dollah goodI can replace the bearings by cutting them off and welding new ones on. I figured I spend little extra time on it and change it so the spherical end bearings can be replaced without cutting and welding. I got one of these coming for the rod end, $65. I'll thread the new rod to accept it.
On the other end, I'm doing a $12 spherical bearing in a mounting "tang".
In the future when the ends wear out, it will be a quick easy cheap fix.
gotta love it when shit goes rightI took Mike's advice and just bored it to size instead of finish boring after welding. The bearing tapped right in while still hot from welding. it tightened up nicely after cooled.
How the fuck would I know!gotta love it when shit goes right
Come on over and we'll ride to Mike's and watch shit go right.. never does for me.How the fuck would I know!
You sound like T1Lucky I am used to making the short hose work.
