Tim’s payloader and generator BS thread

This is an odd one.

Would be a good machine for indoor concrete work, but that's a pretty limited market. It'd be a better machine with a set of 36V forklift batteries for main power, and have a corded jackhammer/planer etc if there was a high energy need. A decent battery setup would run the base machine for a full shift easy, and makes a pretty good counterweight.

I would think the cases would rupture long before the battery would wear out, least the way I ran one, which admittedly was a small notch below expert.

They're pretty well protected, usually cased in a 1/4" plate housing. Put that behind another steel plate access door and it's fairly safe.

Might need to use AGM for the rough rodeo riding some guys put on a skiddy tho.

In the background of your Vermeer pic I see your reason for wanting a rust free square body cab.
Yep. It's only got about 102k miles on it. Got it new in 1985, put 20k miles on it 1st year. Parked it in the winter for many years to prevent rust. Then put a plow on it and let it go. On a cold January night, when the wind is still, you can hear it rust.
305v8, TH700R4, NP208 or NP241, 10 bolt front, 14 bolt 10.5 rear with detroit locker, disc brakes and 3.73 gears. Every option except sliding rear window and cargo light. The seat and carpet are as new. 19.5" pizza cutter wheels and tires.

@Eccentric On kuntbook located near treemonkey for $2400. Wish I had a legitimate need for a truck. Inline 6, air brakes.

That's an International CO series truck. CO for Cab Over of course. Later versions were called Cargostars. That rig will probably have either an RD450 gasser (or one of the other displacements of the Red Diamond family) or a Perkins 354 diesel.
No Perkins, it's a gasser. Guessing from the pics, there aint room to re-power with a DT466. I wonder how a Cummins 6B with 10 speed would run out.

You have more pics? IHC had several different I6 gasser families ranging from 175-501ci. Most likely that truck has a Red Diamond six. Those were a BIG gasser (318/361/372/401/406/450/501ci) built from 1941-1974 and are not too much smaller than a DT466. The Black Diamond engines were smaller (264/282/308ci) and one of them could be in that truck. I'm thinking RD450 however.
