The Stihl thread

I read that about the fuel injected chop saw when it came out, that you had to pump it everytime.
Ive had a 500i here for over a year. Milled about 5 tanks with it before I tore it apart. It sat for 5 months with the same fuel in tank and fire right up with maybe 4 primes.

Never have I had to prime when the saw is warm while bucking. Im sure it wouldnt hurt, no way to flood it.

Metering lever height is wrong, needle is leaking, or metering chamber gasket and diaphragm are installed in the wrong order. Can you do a pressure pop off test of the carb?
@Eccentric Aaron , the needle will hold pressure to about20 psi . But , once it pops and relieves pressure , it will not reset ,and leaks down . I’ve cleaned the seat , changed needles , tried a different spring . Still the same stuff going on . Any ideas ? ? ?
