The Husqvarna thread

still tryn figgur out how John goes through a new saw in two years. im sure he cuts more than i do and prolly harder on um than i am but damn. no offense John. you aint the only one either, i read it all the time.
My brother at his most busiest from the 80s 90s 2000s
Falling for different outfits and running his own timber outfit working
7 days a week often.
Went through 8 to 10 sometimes more
181/281/288/394/395s per year
Whatever was available at the dealer when he went in.
We're they worn out no
But he did not want to have any down time
And he did not work on them at all
Just basic maintenance.
So he'd trade them in
For new after a few months.
With a very good discount on new saws
Because of the volume of saws and accessories he bought there.

395 is a different animal. So, brandy new they get the blue loctite treatment on the usuals. Couple months in the top cover is falling off and the muffler rattles. Heli coils and new muffler bolts and good to go. A year in and the inner dawg bolt holes are getting fucked and by then the case hole for the front av rubber is gone or cracked. From there they vibrate themselves apart if used daily. It becomes a nightly routine of fixing shit and no offense taken, I am probably a little tough on a saw. The old 066/660 platform could just take a beating for years.

In the last 3 weeks a 500i has cut 240ish k ft for me. Been busy and we have had like 10" of rain in the last 14 days

you know, after all this time you would have thought husky would went to stihl type bolts.

Stihls gay bolts were proprietary to
Stihl gay saws.
I've never had issues with any fasteners
Of any brand
I get a lot of stripped topcover stihl
Saws in.
But that's idiot's
And I've never had issues with the 2 and 3 series fasteners.

Well dammit
A lotof the holes are recessed on a husky except some of the recoil which come with cheese head screws that are still smaller than the t27 ones. Also, I don't know what the Chinese t27 are made from but they're noticeably lighter than oem screws. I bought a bunch when they first started selling them as they were hellla cheap, this is no longer the case

Pics of the 60 pound hat? That's almost #35 warsh tub size
