Here’s a few disjointed pics of my Hawken .
Couldn’t get the full length pic to load .. too big . Anyhow it took a lot of draw filing , sanding ,polishing ,etc to get it ready to blue . Lot of work ,but worth it .Got stuff you wanna buy or sell?

Hard to believe percussion caps is non existant. glad i stocked up when i did. I hear the survivalist are going black powder now cause everything can be made easier.
I think they are in the same boat as smokeless primers . Everyone just lost their ( thems ? ) minds and started panic buying . Even smokeless powder was iffy to find . Hopefully availability will start improving .
You might check with T1, as he probably has a boxcar load of smoke poles, he probably has a pickup truck full of caps

Found a work around ,sorta … I’m putting a TC Musket nipple on it in place of the #11 nipple . Going to use musket caps . They’re a bit hotter than #11s so I’ll just work up a load that shoots well using them . The down side is I had to order 1000 of the little buggers . $74 plus hazmat .
Musket caps are indeed hotter, and much less fiddly.
